Steve Alexis is a seasoned travel executive with a strong marketing and sales background in virtually all segments of the travel industry. His rich career in travel and tourism includes work in the hotel industry (in Croatia), tour operations (American International-Chicago), retail travel (Discount Travel-Chicago) and a number of years in airline marketing and sales (Philippine Air, JAT-Yugoslav and Asiana Airlines-Los Angeles). His broad professional experience in the industry and personal travel to more than 100 countries has given him a breadth of understanding and sensitivity to consumer satisfaction, attention to details and quality control. Steve has personally managed or has overseen the travel of numerous corporate CEO’s, celebrities, dignitaries and government leaders, journalists and other high-profile personalities.

Alexis personally and professionally knows what he’s talking about. Traveling to some of the most remote corners of the world, he has stayed in a variety of places ranging from as little as 26 cents a night to luxury hotels and resorts commanding thousands of dollars a night. He has flown on virtually every existing, as well as no-longer existing airline and has experienced in-flight services from First Class pubs and Trader Vic’s cuisine at 33,000 feet, to “milk route” carriers and puddle-hoppers in isolated corners of the world. He has ridden in chauffeur-driven limousines, as well as in the back of an open truck or on tuck tucks in Thailand; eaten from food stalls in the dusty streets of Cairo, Thailand, Indonesia and South Africa; and also in the most expensive and acclaimed restaurants in Paris, Milan, Stockholm and beyond. He has cruised on luxury yachts and ships in the Mediterranean and South Seas, as well as on river boats in Europe and in China, and on the sam-pán in Hong Kong. His exposure to a vast spectrum of travel choices has not only given him an acutely refined and profound appreciation of quality and value, but also a solid understanding of consumer expectations.

Alexis, a naturalized American citizen who resides in the U.S., was born in former Yugoslavia (Bosnia & Herzegovina). He holds a BA degree in Economics, Tourism/Transportation from the University of Zagreb. In addition to English, He is fluent in several languages, including Serbian, Croatian, Italian, some German and Spanish. As Vice-President, New Product Development for UTS, Alexis creates, manages and oversees the implementation and delivery of new tourism products. For each tour he oversees, he makes it a priority to ensure that every detail is addressed and that potential problems are foreseen and resolved in advance. His goal is complete client satisfaction from start to finish.
